Amelia Itxaso Arizti (Croatia)

Amelia Arizti is a high school senior deeply passionate about helping others. Born in Washington, DC, she has lived in Colombia, India, and Croatia but considers Spain’s Basque Country her true home. A consummate travel enthusiast, Amelia has explored Latin America, South Asia, Europe, and North America, climbing mountains, surfing, biking, swimming, and connecting with local communities to learn about diverse cultures, traditions, and histories.

At the Alliance, Amelia contributes through research and administrative support, bringing a fresh and vibrant perspective to her work. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she loves spending time with her family and her adopted dog, Laga. An avid dancer, she hopes to attend a university program in Bilbao, Spain and pursue a professional career in a dance troupe.
